Equinor shutting down Sture terminal

Equinor reports that in connection with the collision between the frigate Helge Ingstad and the tanker TS Sola at the Sture terminal in Øygarden, the company will gradually shut down operations at Sture.

Personnel at Sture without emergency tasks will also be evacuated. The shutdown and evacuation were performed as a precautionary measure.

Equinor reported the incident at approximately 04.15 Thursday, 8 November.

The company is in a dialogue with Norwegian authorities and has mobilised emergency resources to assist the police and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.
