The global high-voltage direct current (HVDC) converter stations market growth is set to more than double from USD 3.24 billion in 2018 to USD 6.88 billion in 2023, primarily driven by growth in China, according to GlobalData, a data and analytics company.
The company’s latest report “HVDC Converter Stations, Update 2019 – Global Market Size, Competitive Landscape and Key Country Analysis to 2023” reveals that growing demand for power, increasing cross-border power transmission, various global initiatives to encourage implementation of renewable smart grids and the need to restrict carbon emissions are set to drive the aggregate value of the global HVDC converter stations market to USD 32.88 billion between 2019 and 2023.
