The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) reports that preliminary production figures for June 2019 show an average daily production of 1,409,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate, which is a decrease of 184,000 barrels per day compared to May.
Total gas sales were 9.4 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is a decrease of 0.3 GSm3 from the previous month.
Average daily liquids production in June was: 1,067,000 barrels of oil, 315,000 barrels of NGL and 28,000 barrels of condensate. Oil production in June is 10% lower than the NPD’s forecast, and 3.4% below the forecast so far this year.
The main reasons that production in June was below forecast are technical problems and maintenance work on some fields.
The total petroleum production for the first six months in 2019 is about 109.6 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 38.1 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 10,1 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 61.4 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale.
The total volume is 5.0 MSm3 o.e. lower than in 2018.
