Included within its primary bolting tools range are high cycle torque wrenches – TWHC, developed from the earlier successful TWSD range. They are designed using top grade materials to provide excellent corrosion resistance and have a compact nose radius to fit in tight, hard to reach spaces. They are light weight with an optional carry handle/eye-bolt facility and with a multi-position, high-flow swivel manifold – this enables operators to manoeuvre the tool into almost any position required, make them easy to use and highly efficient in the workplace.
For enhanced safety, the drive mechanism within the TWHC is enclosed with a rubber cover reducing the risk of trapped fingers or sharp edges that may cause injury. The TWHC range comes in a wide selection of sizes and continues to be developed to completely replace its TWSD predecessor, meaning standard tools meet most application needs.
Other torque wrenches from SPX FLOW include a selection of low clearance, heavy duty torque wrenches – TWLC. Designed for low weight with high strength, these versatile tools offer reduced height and a tight nose radius, making them ideal for bolting areas which are restricted with square-drive wrenches. TWLC tools are high performance, easy to operate and high-speed, making them the preferred choice for most applications.
Also within the primary tools range from SPX FLOW are the “SRT” range of hydraulic bolt tensioners. These innovative units are designed to reduce operator fatigue, increase efficiency and enhance safety. They use an automatic piston return, which significantly reduces reset times to increase productivity with an in-built safety valve. They also offer long seal-life and with features such as an integrated misalignment compensator and quick connect bridge change, protect both the operators and tool whilst adding performance, flexibility and accuracy.
Although most operations can be achieved using standard tools, SPX FLOW also has expert engineering capability to design and manufacture customised units that meet more unusual requirements.
