Stratagraph appoints new director of business development

Stratagraph, a pioneer in providing mud logging and pressure detection services to the global oil and gas industry, has appointed Wayne Allen Cook Jr. as its new director of business development.

Based in Lafayette, La., Cook worked for Stratagraph as a mud logger and marketing representative between 1997 – 2004 and most recently served as a marketing representative at Seitel Inc., a provider of 3D and 2D seismic data and services for the oil and gas industry.

William Hagan, chief executive officer, Stratagraph, says, “Wayne has a history of demonstrating success in developing and implementing strategic plans and growing and maintaining sales margins and revenues. He already has a deep understanding of Stratagraph’s business, and as director of business development, Wayne will serve a pivotal role in driving forward the growth of the company both within the US and globally. We welcome him back aboard.”

Cook comments, “Stratagraph has been focused on providing oil and gas operations with reliable and accurate data services for decades. I am excited to be back on the Stratagraph team, and look forward to growing a business such as ours, which provides such a vital service to the smooth running of both large and small oil and gas operations.”

Cook served in the United States Marine Corps. from 1989 – 1997 and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is a member of a number of regional Geological and Geophysical Societies.
