Sterling PBES has announced Ian Robinson as Director of Engineering. Robinson, a Chartered Naval Architect, comes to the company with far reaching design, shipyard, operational and management experience.

Robinson’s more recent role of Director, Projects & Technology with Seaspan Ship Management gives him the background to provide Sterling PBES with a higher level of knowledge of the challenges presented to the commercial marine propulsion industry.

“Ian’s shipbuilding background gives him direct experience and perspective from the shipyard side of the industry,” comments Brent Perry, CEO, SPBES. “As a professional naval architect with many years of experience, he understands our industry and is a natural fit for this team.”

“I am excited to join a technology driven company at this pivotal time for shipping,” says Robinson. “The shipping industry needs to drive down emissions and improve efficiency more than ever. Sterling PBES energy storage provides a safe, efficient and ROI driven solution to meet this global challenge.”
