The COVID-19 pandemic and the massive drop in market prices has had major impact on Norway and the oil and gas industry. The Norwegian state is supporting the industry by implementing new tax measures, which strengthens liquidity and helps projects being economically robust also in a low price environment.
This year’s conference will give you everything you need to know about the market environment and the outlook going forward. We will also touch on the newly implemented tax change from various perspectives.
“First come, first served”
The conference is set to be arranged as planned, but we will adapt the practical implementation in accordance with governmental advice and guidelines. In case of restrictions on the number of seats, participants are given priority according to the “first come, first served” principle. If you are unable to participate physically or it is fully booked, it will be possible to follow the conference online at a lower price.
The Annual Petroleum Economic Conference is a place to meet new colleagues. Given the events of 2020, this feels more important than ever. Use the opportunity during the conference and the traditional conference dinner to grow your professional network.
Reidar Haver of OMV Norge and Chair of the Conference Committee, along with the organizing committee, wishes a very warm welcome to the Annual Petroleum Economics Conference.
