Vestas USA wins secure 10 GW of order intake in 2020

Vestas has received a 185 MW order of V150-4.2 MW turbines in 4.3 MW Power Optimised Mode for a wind project in the USA. The order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines as well as a 20-year service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance for the lifetime of the project. Turbine delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2021 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021.

The customer and project are undisclosed per the customer’s request.

Additionally, Vestas has received a 184 MW order of V120-2.2 MW and V110-2.2 MW wind turbines in the US, which takes Vestas’ order intake in 2020 across the 10 GW mark before entering the fourth quarter.

The order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines as well as a multi-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is scheduled to begin the second quarter of 2021, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021.
