Oil and gas majors are moving towards with the industry changes in 2020. While there are no opportunities for the EPC from the US to meet with the Italian pipeline operator face-to-face, they were able to get in touch using virtual platforms. The networking between market specialists became possible at the Transportation Oil and Gas Congress 2020 – the 2-day event that took place at the BGS online platform.
The TOGC 2020 took place on November 16-17 and on board were more than 400 oil and gas majors, pipeline operators, and EPCs. TAP, Eni, Elinoil, MOL, ADNOC, Total, McDermott, Gazprom, Snam, Saipem, TANAP, and other companies attended the Congress.
During the pandemic limitations and borders restrictions, gathering of more than 400 pipeline industry representatives came true thanks to the BGS online platform. It was created in-house specifically for the BGS Group congresses to give its delegates as many opportunities as they had at the offline events.
Making presentations to the bigger audience than in the offline rooms, having B2B meeting with the specialists from different time zones, and bringing more delegates to represent their companies – all of these were possible thanks to the online format. Delegates were able to attend the Congress sessions at the webinar rooms, arrange the meetings in the calendar with the personal manager’s assistance, and discuss business issues in the chats.
As for the sessions, pipeline industry experts were discussing the cutting-edge pipeline industry topics: current market situation, existing regulations for pipelines, commercial future of the completed projects, latest technologies, sustainability policy, cost-efficiency strategies, etc. Delegates had an opportunity to ask questions during the entire presentation, and speakers could get in touch with the delegates in the chats to continue the conversation started at the presentation.
Experience exchange between pipeline majors will continue at the next Transportation Oil and Gas Congress in 2021. It will take place on the 18-19 of October in Zurich, Switzerland, and the registration has already begun. Request the materials: https://bit.ly/2KjCP4x.
