Drilling permits for wells in North Sea production licence 973

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Chrysaor Norge AS a drilling permits for well 15/12-25 and 15/12-26, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Wells 15/12-25 and 15/12-26 will be drilled from the COSLInnovator drilling rig.

The drilling programmes for well 15/12-25 and 15/12-26 relate to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence 973. Chrysaor Norge AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 50%. The other licensees are OKEA ASA (30%) and Petoro AS (20%).

The area in this licence is part of block 15/12.

Well 15/12-25 will be drilled about 7 kilometres northwest of the Rev field.

Well 15/12-26 will be drilled about 10 kilometres south of the 15/12-21 (Grevling) oil discovery.

Production licence 973 was awarded on 1 March 2019 (APA2018). This will be the first exploration well to be drilled in the licence. The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing the drilling activity.
