International rig counts from Baker Hughes

Baker Hughes has announced that the Baker Hughes international rig count is up 12 rigs from last month to 677 with land rigs down 2 to 507, offshore rigs up 14 to 170.

International Rig Count is down 401 rigs from last year’s count of 1,078, with land rigs down 326, offshore rigs down 75.

The average US Rig Count for January was 369 up 30 from last month’s count of 339 and down 422 year-over-year.

The average Canada Rig Count for January was 137 up 37 from last month’s count of 100 and down 67 year-over-year.

The Worldwide Rig Count for January was 1,183, up 79 from the 1,104 counted in December 2020, and down 890 from the 2,073 counted in January 2020.
