When hydraulic lines have to be replaced or extended on site, professional tools should be ready-to-hand. To meet this requirement, Stauff has added more accessories to its complete range for connecting and fastening tubes and hoses.
This sturdy steel case is designed for short-term use on the go, providing all components required for bending and sawing off hydraulic tubes made of steel or stainless steel. The case contains a combined manual tube bending and sawing device which can be attached with a standard vice or directly to a workbench top with a thickness of up to 35 mm. Three low-wear bending rollers made of steel allow processing of steel or stainless steel tubes with an outer diameter of 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm. The set also includes a bending lever.
A standard hacksaw is used for cutting the tube. “On-site repairs should be carried out as quickly and easily as possible, so they do not affect precision and safety,” explains Product Manager Andreas Toporowsky. The contour of the retaining fixture, for example, ensures a 90° cut, while the optimised bending contour of the roller prevents flattening of the tube even for small bending radii. The prepared tube then has to be deburred so it can be integrated into the hydraulic line system without leaks. The case offers space for a manual reamer. The universal internal and external tube reamer from Stauff for tube diameters from 6 to 35 mm is not included, but can be purchased separately, just as all other components of this convenient complete set.
The reamer has high-quality sharpened cutting edges made of hardened special steel and allows flowing, “chatter-free” working. The internal and external tube reamer is also available for tubes with outer diameters from 10 to 54 mm. For both sizes, Stauff offers adapters for use with a cordless screwdriver or a drill. A separate sawing fixture for steel and stainless steel tubes with outer diameters from 6 to 42 mm is also new in the accessory range. It is simply clamped onto the tube, allows a precise 90° cut and is also ideal for flexible use on the go, e.g., for installations or repairs at a construction site.
