Atlas Copco has acquired the assets of NATEV GmbH. The company was founded in 2010 and specializes in position solutions for assembly tools used in industrial production.

NATEV has ten employees and is located in Borken, in north-western Germany. In 2019, the company’s sales amounted to approximately EUR 1 million (SEK 10.4 million) and in 2020 approximately EUR 0.5 million (SEK 5.2 million).

NATEV develops systems for real-time positioning and imaging solutions in close cooperation with key customers in the automotive industry. Products include hardware and software used to monitor and error proof defined production steps linked to the tightening processes.

“Through NATEV’s solutions we will be able to expand our offering of positioning solutions,” says Henrik Elmin, Business Area President Industrial Technique, “This is an important technology to enable flexible production in line with the Industry 4.0 vision.”

The purchase price is not material relative to Atlas Copco’s market capitalisation and is not disclosed.

The business will be integrated into the MVI Tools and Assembly Systems Division in the Industrial Technique Business Area.
