International energy logistics provider Peterson has announced a 2-year contract with Sumitomo Corporation Europe Ltd. (SCEU), based at its Edzell facility.

The contract will see Peterson provide OCTG storage, handling, logistics and operational services to SCEU.

The Edzell facility has more than 300,000 m2 of quality external storage and 60,000 m2 of modern internal storage. Earlier this year the site was certified as carbon neutral under the PAS 2060 accreditation.

The site is also formally recognised as an Authorised Customs Warehouse, with an ability to store various customer goods both inside and outside allowing Peterson customers to re-export to the UKCS or a third country, without the payment of import VAT and duties.

Chris Coull, Regional Director at Peterson, says, “We are excited to welcome SCEU as a new client to our Edzell facility and look forward to supporting them over an initial period of the next 2 years. Our experienced and trusted team at Edzell already deliver exceptional service for a number of clients and we are pleased that SCEU will also now benefit from this.”
