Baker Hughes has posted its monthly International Rig Count reports.

International Rig Count is up 17 rigs from last month to 834 with land rigs up 20 to 648, offshore rigs down 3 to 186.

International Rig Count is up 169 rigs from last year’s count of 665, with land rigs up 139, offshore rigs up 30.

The average US Rig Count for December was 579 up 19 from last month’s count of 560 and up 240 year-over-year.

The average Canada Rig Count for December was 150 down 17 from last month’s count of 167 and up 50 year-over-year.

The Worldwide Rig Count for December was 1,563, up 19 from the 1,544 counted in November 2021, and up 459 from the 1,104 counted in December 2020.
