An Aberdeen-based company which specialises in the manufacture of torque machines has strengthened its team in the UK and US after securing work worth in excess of USD 2 million in the last few weeks of the year.
EnerQuip, which manufactures torque machines at their facilities in Aberdeen and Caithness, has reported the positive end to another year in which exports have played a significant part in revenue, accounting for some 95% of work in 2021.
Most recently, an upturn in demand for products and services from the Middle East has significantly bolstered the figure which includes an initial USD 1 million contract to supply EnerQuip’s offline make-up and breakout unit to Kazakhstan in a long-term deal which will see the company deliver multiple systems over the next 3 years.
In response to the recent contract awards, and to correctly position the company for further growth in 2022 and beyond, EnerQuip has just appointed two new members of staff in Houston and ten in the UK. They include UK-based Darren Bragg who has recently taken up the newly created global sales and business development role and is tasked with growing the corporate footprint in key strategic locations.
Bragg says, “Starting in an economic downturn in 2015, and steering the business through the COVID-19 pandemic, illustrates the excellent stewardship that EnerQuip benefits from and I look forward to playing a part in realising the company’s ambitious growth plans, including consolidating our presence in the Middle East.”
EnerQuip Director Andrew Robins adds, “We are pleased to welcome Darren and our other recent appointments to the team at a time when strategically positioning ourselves for international growth has never been more important. As our Middle East presence continues to flourish, having the right people in place to deliver our products and services will remain a crucial element of our future success.”
EnerQuip was founded in 2015 and is a market-leading specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of torque machines and associated products, including bucking units and fully rotational makeup and breakout torque machines which can be adapted to suit any application.
