Baker Hughes has posted its monthly International Rig Count reports.

International Rig Count is up 7 rigs from last month to 841 with land rigs down 2 to 646, offshore rigs up 9 to 195.

International. Rig Count is up 164 rigs from last year’s count of 677, with land rigs up 139, offshore rigs up 25.

The average US Rig Count for January was 601 up 22 from last month’s count of 579 and up 232 year-over-year.

The average Canada Rig Count for January was 190 up 40 from last month’s count of 150 and up 53 year-over-year.

The Worldwide Rig Count for January was 1,632, up 69 from the 1,563 counted in December 2021, and up 449 from the 1,183 counted in January 2021.
