In a world where energy security and climate security are higher on the agenda than ever, the ONS Foundation continues its strategic partnership with the Munich Security Conference (MSC).

On 28 August 2022, the ONS Summit, organised as a joint event by ONS and MSC, will gather top level decisions-makers, energy CEOs, and thought leaders, in Stavanger, Norway.

It is the fourth time ONS and MSC collaborate to make this meeting a leading forum to discuss geopolitics, energy security and energy supply leading up to the ONS Conference and exhibition.

“We are proud to partner with MSC. Together we are raising the important questions concerning energy security and climate security with some of the most important decision- makers. We believe in collaboration to secure energy supply and to reach net zero, our strategic partnership with MSC is laying the foundation for that,” says Leif Johan Sevland, CEO & President of ONS Foundation.

Ambassador Boris Ruge, Vice-Chairman of the MSC, underlines the strategic significance of the partnership with ONS Foundation: “In the light of Russia’s renewed invasion of Ukraine and the accelerating climate crisis, we must rethink strategies, policies, and systems. Together, we must examine how to restore trust and international cooperation in an era of great power competition.”

The ONS Summit is set up as a confidential format, bringing together a distinguished and diverse group of representatives from governments, international and nongovernmental organizations, academia, and industry to discuss the European energy transition and geopolitical shifts accompanying the changing global energy mix.
